Hey guys.
How hard is it to remove the driveshaft on 2017 ex deluxe? The bearing is seized and needs to be replaced. I just downloaded manual but couldn't find shaft removal procedure. Thanks in advance.

It comes out towards the engine so unfortunately the engine needs to be out of the way. Its a totally different design than any of their other models. Its similar to a kawasaki ski

You have to unbolt number 17 and 7 to get it out. Unbolt the engine and slide forward enough to get out. If there still isn't enough room the engine needs to come out20240829_194215.jpg

Neutron, thank you for your input. It turned out it wasn't the driveshaft bearing. It was the jet pump bearing. Easy fix.

Good deal. The ex design isn't known for intermediate bearing failures
