Trying to decide between a 2019 AR195 with very low hours or a brand new 2020 AR195 (not the "s"). Are there any significant improvements for 2020? Been searching this forum and the web and can't find any improvements.

I believe there is no difference in the 19s and 20s other than the S model.

Does the 19 have service records?

You found a 1 yr old AR195! Well done! In my area, they never come up for sale which is the only reason I bought new.

We lucked out and found a brand new 2019 AR195 in black and red. They don't have that color for 2020 and it was our favorite scheme . Dealer wanted to get it out of inventory so we got it for $500 over used book and still got the $2000 Yamaha rebate April promotion tacked on.

I was able to find mine pre-owned as well, it hit the lot the day before i came on checking out boats, got it for $29,999+taxes, etc. 36k OTD with a pre-purchased service plan as well as tacking on an extra 3 year warranty. Best of luck! We love our 19' AR195

If you can find an 19 I would. But I bought new and have a 7 year warranty and 3 year service warranty. Mine is a 2020 but there is no difference

You mentioned that the 2020 you found is now a "s" as in a 195s? If that's the case the 2019 AR195 is a different boat then a 2020 195s.

Edit: Ha, just noticed you wrote not the s. Nevermind my previous comment.

That being said, here in Minnesota you pay sales tax on a new boat and not a used boat, not sure how that is handled where you are at, but that's something to check on. Could be a big savings.

@hokiesax .... @marcham asked what I consider one of the two most important questions ever about a "used" boat purchase......."let me see the service records!" IMO the other one is: "I want to see a download of the first 20 hours from the boat log." because, IMO, how an engine is treated in its first 20 hours sets the stage for its health for the rest of its life. Service records and the computer logs (we call them tattle tales) don't lie. Saving 10K on a boat that was flogged from minute one is short sighted, IMO. No service records, won't download the logs - RUN AWAY!
