Looking to purchase an available 2019 Scarab 195 wake edition and wanted to see if anyone has experience with the digital speed control? I have a 2013 AR192 and added perfect pass for wake sports. Wondering how the Scarab digital speed control will work for surfing when speed needs to be dialed down to the tenth of a MPH. Thanks!

I'd be suspect as to how accurate any consumer gps is at the 1/10th mph level. I think consumer-grade GPS's are rated, at best, to have a speed accuracy between +/- 0.1 and +/- 0.3 mph. That would be under ideal conditions.

That being said, I have no real-world experience to give you.

Right. I just meant in wakesurfing you need something that isn't going to fluctuate 1-2 mph, but stays with a range of tenths of a mile. Does the digital speed control have those capabilities.

Hmm... we'll again, i can't help you with actual real-world experience but... the "standard" BRP control panel only allows you to select a speed to the nearest full mile. The command center (digital) speed allow you to dial in, I think, the nearest 1/10th mph. So maybe with the CC version it would be more accurate.

My thinking is that you should probably expect a fluctuation of, at least, +/- 0.5 mph based on the accuracy of GPS. Beyond that, well maybe someone with actual wake-towing experience can better answer your question.
