Ok guys, looking for some info in the camera set up. my boat is set up to use two cameras. I would like to get this going. Do they need to be hard wired? what camera did you use? looking for all kind of info you can give. nothing really out there on this....

My original Medallion helm control from my 2015 build, was replaced in Jan 2016 due to a memory issue. The replacement was starting to de laminate the middle of 2020. I filed a claim, the dealer was outrageous in replacement cost, so I worked through the insurance and did the swap myself to the new Viper II, Both have component connectors for camera inputs. I don't recall if the USB ports on the VII are active for video.

Do you have part numbers for that camera GRobi.
really nice clean job.

No part umber:
I have used a cam looking like this Modell after trying several other cameras, this was by far the best.

best regards Robert
(Would love to see your result)

Yes I think I found it on Amazon.
I assume you ran the wires through the tower side bars. Other than the hole to pass the wire right at the camera what other drilling was required?
And what circuit did you tap into for power?

Yes, run it to the side bars, it is no problem at all. 2 holes to mount the cam, one for the cable, that's all. I think, I have used the + from the horn, don't remember, where the -came from.
