Hello, I just purchase a 2019 yamaha 210 FSH sport. I love it and have only taken it out like 4 times. this last time I anchored in a spot for like 2 hours. When I started the boat up both engine lights came on and a message that said see dealer. The boat still had power but less. I cleaned out the ports on both engines. One was completely empty and the other had about 3 to 4 strands of seaweed wrapped around impeller. When I removed it and started it up again both engine lights were gone and boat had full power. Is this something I should worry about or is it common in this type of boat. This is my first boat. Please help, Thanks

glad to have you on board, I saw your other post with the exact same details, it's better only to post once so it doesn't confuse other members when they try to answer you, https://jetboaters.net/threads/2019-210-fsh-sport.21854/

I wouldn't say it's common but it does happen, the cooling water inlets are on the jet nozzles so if you get a clump of weeds over the intake screen or it disrupts a lot of the water flow it will hamper your cooling water,

watch the video in our FAQ tab above about how the cooling water flows, it's very helpful,

Where are you boating at? if you're in FL when the weeds come some members have problems with them, most are able to navigate the issues and it's a small price to pay for the benefits of a jet,

.

I have 100 hours on my 2018 to 210 FSH I have had that happen to me once. The next morning it started up and I never had a recurrence. Anywhere where there is the slightest amount of seaweed around when I start it up or I’m going slow or idling I always check to make sure that both holes are peeing out, or you will get an overheat. Good luck with your boat I love mine.
