So went to the dealer today to talk about the 195S and we ended up looking at a 2023 222SE. We really like this boat and are seriously considering it.

The dealer said the only difference between the S and the SE is the SE has drive by wire throttle controls. Did a compare on Yamaha’s website and it seems when you compare the 2, it doesn’t seem accurate. Does anyone have experience with this and if there are any owners of a 222SE here, any feedback on the boat would be greatly appreciated. E3E83DAD-3249-43FA-AAF1-BC4790AED693.jpeg

I really like the drive by wire system. Much more control from what I’ve read. It’s one of the reasons I’m thinking about upgrading my 2017 212X. It’s always bugged me that you can’t really synchronize the throttles.

There are a few more differences than just the drive by wire. For one the conext screen is substantially larger. The button layout/buttons used on the helm are different. Different style of steering wheel. Also you have push button start on the SE. I've posted pics of the two helms to give you an idea.
