I have a 21 fsh which Runs great ( I love this boat). A friend told me that if i have engine trouble and run the good engine at over 5mph it would cause the engine compartment to flood and possibly sink the boat. Does any one have any experience with this or suggestion on what to do if offshore and lose one engine? Other than calling for a tow.

he is wrong if you have to run one engine avoid going past a fast idle to keep from forcing water into the exhaust system of the non running engine and flooding the engine with water so stay about 5 m p h
