Hi everyone,

I will pick up my brand new 25' 222s in few days. As I have found, the stock audio system is not the best. So, I am looking for advice to improve/upgrade it. My plan is to add 2 tower speakers, one 10" free-air subwoofer and 2 extra amps.

Any recommendation on brands that don't break my bank account? Also, any advice on the Wet Sounds stock cabin speakers and amp?

Thank you

Not sure what your end goal is. However I would start with keeping your regular speakers, add a amp to power these, add a 10 JLM6 (or go with Kicker but get the upgraded sub) and instead of tower speakers add the 6.5 Kicker Horns on your swim deck. These horns are super loud and may get rid of the need of towers. If I could do over again this is what I would do. In regards to the sub if your doing one don’t go cheap is my advice. My one M6 is as good or better than two Kicker 10’s (the normal ones in my opinion, based on being in a boat with this setup).

Current set up is 8 JL’s 6.5’s, one 10 JLM6, and 10” Kicker horns on the tower. I did add two mid cabin speakers which I enjoy.

Hey how’s it going! I shot you a message. I own an audio shop and we have pioneered and developed connectors to integrate into these systems. The stock wetsounds amplifiers are very lackluster, and the speakers depend on how boat was specced.

If it has the Revos, they’re a good speaker, if they’re the icons, I’d replace.

We’ve worked with a bunch of Yamaha boats, so
I’d be more than happy to also suggest you some selections based off of what your boats system currently consists of, and what your goals are!
