We just bought a 2015 AR240 and found out the trailer tires (made in China) were 6 years old. This was after I pulled it home, 7 hours on the interstate... I made an appointment to have all 5 replaced with GY Endurance tires this afternoon. I'm glad the old bias-ply tires held up, even if the fender supports didn't, both of them are broken and are being replaced by MTI free of charge!

6 years on a trailer and they are not really China bombs, just China :) . Trailer tires should be replaced regardless of wear 3-5 years, or when tread is down.

I would agree, except the trailer sat in inside storage the entire time and the boat was in the marina all summer. No miles to speak of. I have lost a few “China Bombs” on trips over the years. I subscribe to the 5 year max rule and if they make it that long depends on storage environment.

China tires should be outlawed......I have them on my 27ft snowmobile trailer that has electric brakes on each axle.....I run Blizzaks on my tow vehicle in the winter for extra traction.....yet the snowmobile trailer has crappy china tires that could lock up on the slightest of slick roads...yes I’ll be changing them out for the upcoming season....
