A question for skiers

I have an AR240 and haven't had any problems with power while slalom skiing. I will say that I don't like being pulled from the tower while on one ski, mainly because the upwards pull on the rope makes it more difficult for me to lay over in the hard turns and really put good pressure against the ski and get it to bite. May or may not be an issue for you.

I have a 2010 Yamaha 242. Love the boat, good power and takes off fast and cruises at 30 to 40 knot pretty easily....However, we were out skiing and the boat struggled to pull me up I am 6.1 190 lbs. and would only get up to 21 knots.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a resolution?
Like @Julian stated, something is wrong. I have a 2009 AR230 that I can rip people out of the water if I want to and cruise like no one's back there.

Our boats (2010-2014) are nearly identical, and we're able to please everyone in whatever water sporting activity they're wanting to try. I can't recall any issues with the boat when pulling anyone out of the water to ski or wakeboard (regardless of size or ability) and not maintain a speed of 24mph (21 knots) or better. And we use the tower mount for everything (except towing a disabled boat) when out on the water. Something doesn't sound right.
