Considering getting a Yamaha X series boat. Originally planned on buying a used Yamaha X series (or possibly a standard wakeboard boat). Still considering options. My biggest question is what is the wake quality of the X series compared to a typical wakeboard boat. Its been a long time since I've been on a wakeboard but want my kids to be able to learn and also want to be able to wake surf. I've seen some post about having to add more weight etc. Just trying to get a good idea of the wake quality from someone other than a person trying to sell me a boat. I'm leaning towards a 24 or 25 foot X series. Just concerned I will regret it if I get anything smaller. Also don't want to go drop $65-$100K and then have regrets or not be able to wake surf, etc. Any regrets form or concerns from someone that has a 24 or 25' X series and wishing you had just gotten an actual wakeboard boat? Or anyone pleasantly surprised about how good the wake is in the X series. Just looking for some honest responses/recommendations.
