A couple of forum members wanted to see some pics of my 17’ Alumaweld sport jet repower. I had a 120 Sport Jet. Had it removed. In its place a Mercruiser 3.0 liter motor went in. With it, a American turbine Sp 390 pump with a kodiak adapter coupled the pump and motor. American turbine cut a impeller to match the motor. The boat with two good size guys and one thin guy jumped out of the water and was on plane with in-ten seconds and reached 38 mph at 4500 rpm. It is MUCH more quiet than a two stroke as well. American turbine saw the boat and was impressed. The shop (in Post falls Idaho on the Spokane river) has two other customers wanting to do the same package. The shop had to do some fab work as well.

Thanks for the reply’s so far!

Nice job.........great choice on the Merc 3.0
Thank you. Wish I could take credit for the work, but the guys at the Post Falls shop do good work. The owner and I discussed a couple of ways this project could go. This seemed to be the best way. All components are easy to get parts for and repair.
