I saw a few threads where people have swapped the spring for a gas strut lift support on the anchor hatch. Has anyone tried this on an 06-11 210? Looking for someone who has already found all the measurements.

my front anchor door spring died on my 2010 AR240. Thinking of upgrading to a lift support.
Yamaha part number is same for 2010 Ar240 and 06-11 210 door spring,

What brackets are people using to install this strut?

Well I found a relatively cheap lift shock unit with bracket $14.95, going to try and mount and build myself, little longer than listed in thread above, but may work.
I also ordered some oil filters for next year 2) for $33.90

Yamaha wants $60 for a new spring.
