I know with the Sea Doo ski you can get 5 MPH or more by changing to a Solas impeller.

Anybody switched / tried one?

Many have. They always provide trade offs. From most experienced folks, we generally don't think it's worth it unless you're looking for a specific thing and are willing to sacrifice something else to get it. In general, the engineers have very well balanced those trade offs with the stock parts.

Thanks Luc.

So there's not too much I can do to increase top speed?

I know with my ski's it's fairly easy to add 10-15mph. Not so much with the 165's?

Correct. Our boats are not as easy to mod to get that extra speed. The hull itself slows us down to some degree due to its design but also, the computer and parts are just not quite all the same. I've seen one guy on Facebook actually achieve faster speeds... but the stuff he had to do was pretty extreme including sanding off parts of the hull design to reduce friction but at the cost of the boat being pretty whirly.
