Anyone have difficulty finding premium gas while on the water?

i think you misunderstand. What i was trying to say is that i typically run 93 but if im out on the water and cant find 93 and if i know im going to be out and need gas at some point during the day then i will run it down to 1/2 tank and i can top off with 89 and still be at the recommended 91.

That definitely is a good strategy to extend your time on the water when higher octane fuel is not available. :winkingthumbsup"

Speaking of New Jersey, I always wondered why I couldn't pump my own gas when passing through the state? Found this MentalFloss article that tells why.

Uhhh i think you need to look again. You wont find any ethanol free anywhere in nj. Its illegal here,

Um, ethanol free fuel is not illegal in New Jersey. It’s exceedingly rare on land stations, and usually comes at race levels, but I can get ethanol free 91 15 minutes down the road. On the water, too.

No ethanol free gas in CA. the manual calls for 86 octane min. I run 89 and add fuel additive. Fuel Med Rx
