I'm in Georgetown, just across the river from Louisville. Spend a fair amount of time on Patoka. Lots of other folks up there from Evansville.

I don't fish at all. Don't have the patience for it really. I've considered picking it up, just to have more time on the water (and to justify a center console boat), however it just hasn't taken for me. Don't really like much before or after the catching part, well, maybe the eating part.
We had a camper up there for a little bit, but sold it when we realized we aren't camper people.
Most days are spent cruising/tubing/skiing followed by a healthy dose of floating/swimming.

My wife and I live in Taswell, IN. Near Patoka Lake. We are on Patoka a lot with our 242 Limited SE.
However, we don't fish either. We mostly float/swim, tube, and relax. We love Patoka. The weekends can get crazy so if you can through the week, you will love it.
