I stumbled on a new product for teaching a newbie child to ski - in the past we usually have an adult in the shallow holding the new skier from the back to help hold the skis straight and get them started on the pull out. I saw this new product called a Aqua Buddy and we were coming up on a week at the cabin with some young cousins that hadn't skied before so thought I'd give it a try. Worked awesome! The kids were able to do deep water starts and really shortened the learning curve. Basically they just sit and get pulled on it until they are comfortable and then just stand up. Thought I'd mention it in case anyone hadn't heard of it.
