AR Wake Tower - Cable removal to change fold height??

Had to get some shorter length hex spacers. 1.5" was too long so went with 1" instead which should give me the right amount of adjustment to get the tower as close to the steering wheel as possible.

There isn't much room for adjustment after putting jam nuts in, the 1" is definitely the way to go.

I know this is an old thread. Are there any tricked to getting the nuts off? I can’t get two hands up there.

Does anyone have a trick on making the cables shorter?

I have the washers and nuts as high up as I can go. I would like 3 inches less so the tower sits a bit higher when I’m pulling into my lift.

My thoughts are a metal sleeve measuring three inches above the washer setup or bringing the cables in to some shop and having them re weld the stoppers after cutting three inches shorter
