Picking up a new 2024 AR190 this upcoming week and have been trying to make sure I have everything ahead of time. Where I’m struggling at it anchor decision, box, fluke, trifecta, navy. I am leaning towards the box anchor but unsure of what size to get? Or is there a better option? I don’t remember what the anchor locker looks like so I’m not sure what anchor would even fit. Any help is much appreciated!

I had two flukes on my 195. The anchor that fits in the bow locker seems undersized in my opinion if you are anchoring in any type of current. I had a 13lb for the bow and a 8.5lb for the stern. I stored them under the bow flip up seats and kept my doc lines in the anchor locker for ease of use. I mainly anchored in sand/gravel type of beaches so they did just fine for my need.

I have a 195s and use the anchor the dealer gave me with the coast guard kit. Which was free. 4 life jackets, throwable, flares, small air horn, Fluke anchor, chain and 100 foot anchor line. Ask them to throw all that in, I have purchased 2 boats and they always throw that pack in. I have used that free anchor for 3 seasons with no issues of it holding the boat.
