I happened across this drone video of a 2017 AR195 on Lake Toya in Hokkaido Japan.
You'll notice they aren't wakeboarding or anything like that. It might have to do with the fact that the water was probably about 50 degrees. Nevertheless it's a beautiful lake in a caldera (blown up volcano). Maximum depth 590 feet.

By the way for those fretting about the prices of our boats, the MSRP of AR195 in Japan is over $55,000.

What a great looking lake. Wonder what it would take to rent a boat while there?

If possible at all, likely would take a big load of $$$ and a local Japanese person to sign paperwork/vouch for you/ride along and make sure you behave. Japanese are very environmentally conscious + not particularly trusting of outsiders + Hokkaido is off the beaten path in Japan, so likely more sensitive in both ways.

Absolutely beautiful, would love to boat there.
