Replaced sleeves last year with nylon. Impeller appears clean and clear. Ideas welcome.

does it have the same sound out of the water?
I might remove the impeller/shaft and run it on the hose to see if the sound is still there to help determine engine vs impeller/shaft
Have you ever removed the cone and checked the impeller bearings?
