So we are flipping this 81 hours ar230.....the orange (as they do) was faded and decals were shot. We did interior, elites, whole 9 yards. I was only able to source the "AR230" decals from great lakes.....it needed something to break up the orange; I feel like the black is really the only color on the 2007-09 that gets away with bare hull.

I had these made and may make more to resell as "kit" on ebay as I already make a bunch of other smaller decals. These were kind of a pain with not thinking about the fact the bumper was white and looked bad without decals covering the white....

At the end of the day, I think better than nothing on there but not sure it was worth the effort....yea or nay? (I won't take it personally)

Yea or nay on the decals only for the large tuning fork (I know the interior and elites are a home run with the diamond stitching...)

My two cents: it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb... That boat has such clean lines, the decal really takes away form it. That would look much better on a jet ski or something. Or maybe on the rear swim deck, where some people put the jetboat.net stickers.

Nice clean up job, though! hard to believe that's a 13+ year old boat.. theyve really aged well.

I don't like the decal, i think it's almost as bad as the 2008 "tire tracks" decal,

I actually like the plain orange with maybe a more subtle yamaha to break it up,

I do like the interior

.

I would say negative on the decal. Too bold IMO. I like @Scottintexas decals or something that kind of blends in with the lines. I've got 1/2 the decals on my boat which makes it a bit different from others but if I were to take them off I would look at what the newer boats are using and choose something similar or nothing at all.

Put me down as a No as well. Nice looking boat, the graphic does not do much IMHO. Interior looks sweet!

Definitely a no for me. It makes the boat look unbalanced - sort of like big bulls eye on it. If I were selling it I'd remove it and if you want to add some detailing I'd do some conservative pin striping. BTW just to make sure I wasn't being too harsh I just showed it to the Admiral she gave it a thumbs down and said she preferred it "naked" to having the logo on it. Nice work on the rest though!

Yay for decals, nay for this particular one.

Need something to break up the orange, but this isn't quite the right fit.

Boat looks great, my vote is keep it clean No decals

I will agree with the general consensus here. I've got an 06 that had the flame graphics, and I removed them due to scratches, etc., and I love the way it looks now. Full graphics look good, and no graphics looks good, but this just seems a little too much like an afterthought. In my opinion, that's a beautiful boat with that forks gone.

I think boats without graphics look plan on the trailor but when they are on the water clean and classic. A guy at my marine has an all black 242 and it looks like its missing something on the trailor but when its floating its sharp. That decal isn't my favorite either.

Nay, no or very few graphics on the top sides. So much easier to maintain or restore the finish on the gelcoat when graphics are gone. At least on an oxidized orange hull.

Nice job on that 07 interior.

These boats do not need any decals. Their clean lines speak for themself. Sometimes less is more.
@Sotally Tober agree 100% ..... in fact I am trying to convince the Admiral to let me remove the decals from our 2020 Sx195. I want to do this now before the sun fades the gel coat/paint and leaves a shadow. I have always believed clean=classy.

Very nice boat.

Don’t love the graphic. It looks like you’re marketing a business logo or something since it stands out so much. Maybe a contrasting shade of orange or something would look a little more factory than the black.

What are “elites” that you’re referring to?

So, yeah....I won't be making them. They actually do look better in person; in photos looks like it was photoshopped on but in person looks better. I feel the 2007-09 230 with the hump needs something, and yes, the original 2007 graphics were great.... Thanks all!

The interior work looks great!

Yeah, interior was an adventure.....we went with new company out of Florida and the 2 partners split ways and the interior went awol for about 6 months......finally got it and did turn out great....

If you don't mind, what did you pay to have the interior finished? Our boat was out in the sun for a couple of months 2 years ago and the interior is pretty much shot. Just trying to get a rough idea on replacement cost.

That’s a no from me dawg.
