Hi,

I have had problem with my port engine for a while, i wont start when I turn the key. Sometime it starts after trying 10-15 times, so I thougt it was the relay that was the problem. I have now changed the relay but now it wont start at all (I have not put everything togheter yet).

If I try to jump the 2 red whires together and override the reley the startingmotor turns the engine around but it wont start and keep going.

Do anyone have any idea what to try next?
Do I need to put everything togheter and then try?
is there any earthing/grounding to check?

(starboard engine works just fine).

What am I missing, please help!

I have done some more investigation, if I switch all of these cables/connection behind the cover before the engine bay the problem follows. So now the same problem occur on starbord side when the cables are switched?

rear hatch safety switch. Common problem. If no crank on only one engine it could also be that your throttle is not in the neutral position.

I agree with KJR, if you swap those connectors that means the ecu/engine aren't the problem,

Does your entire key assembly rotate when you turn the key ? we've seen the locking nut crack and you think your turning just the key but reality is the entire assembly is spinning,

rear hatch safety switch
throttle neutral switch
key ignition ( it may be easiest to swap those connectors from the back side as a trouble shoot )

where are you at ? we may have a member close by that could help you troubleshoot,

Thanks for yor reply, but no the rear safetyswitch does not seem to be the problem (i switched those contact also and the problem does not follow.)

But when I change this connection between starboard and Port side the problem follows. So both engines works but not at the same time.

I’ve switched the ignition connectors and the problem follows to the other ”key”. So the problem seems to be in the cables between ignition and the rear hatch cable conection. But the ignition cable colors dont seem to add up on both sides.
