Did a lot of research over this past winter for the right underwater lights and where to place it on my 2016 AR240. I ended up going with two Lumitec SeablazeX lights (Blue/Clear). Wanted a quality product that would last and produce the most lumens, without breaking the bank.

Was a little nerve-wracking drilling into the hull of my boat, but the results were awesome. The instructions call for drilling a 3/8" hole for the main wiring and smaller for the 3 supporting screws. I ended up drilling a 1/2" and filling it with epoxy to give an added layer to prevent de-lamination, and then drilling with the 3/8". Screwed it in and used black marine sealant to do the rest.

Be careful on placement as the muffler's outlet is on the opposite side. I did the wiring work using the access panel which is located between the clean-out plugs. Standard 12V Marine wiring, a fuse, and a couple marine switches later there were good to go. They are super bright and can be easily seen even at dusk.

Definitely a must-have upgrade if you plan on doing any late night boating. Ill follow up with some late night photos in the near future....

Solid lights, I have the same in RGB on my boat. Can see them well even in our murky water.

I am also using Lumitec SeablazeX, It easy installation. It is handy, compact, and not that glaring compared to a lot of other underwater boat lights. It also has an exterior that is made out of anodized aluminum making it pretty durable. Works great. Pretty bright.

@eslocum ......IMO SeaBlaze Xs are EXCELLENT choices for our yamaha boats. Just for the fun of it I'll post pictures of my 38 foot cruiser with 6 sets of 16 light Ocean LED bars. Infinite colour variation, fading, scrolling, manual and light to music programmable. The boat was "nicknamed" Flamethrower LOL  Just for fun - picture of "Flamethrower" on blocks in the dealership waiting for the Admiral (aka the wife) and I to HAND wax (Meguiar's Marine Flagship Carnuba Wax) and HAND polish (no tools) .....do not miss that. The Yamaha SX 195 is a LOT faster to wax!

I want to install underwater led lights on my AR240, but I don’t know what is the best way to wire them

Using 14ga shielded wiring, I was able to snake it through the outside of the engine compartment, and used the transom access next to the jet-port cleanouts to finish the connection.

Just used a cheap marine switch that I put into the cockpit for the control. Power straight off the house batter (fused of course). Definitely a must have upgrade.
