I have a 2016 242X E Series and need to replace the connext screen. Yamaha wants about 10k so it’s not an option. It still works but it throws audio errors every 5 minutes. A dealer told me it needs replacing. Can anyone please help me or know where I could buy one of a wrecked boat or a generic screen? Many thanks 🙏

What is the error? It may be an issue with your swim deck stereo.

Yeah it would be helpful to know the error messages. I thought mine was bad on my 2017 212X and the dealer replaced it under warranty. Turns out the problem was the port tach.

FWIW, the new screen was $2k. $10k seems crazy high.

I have a brand new screen off my 2017 it should work perfectly

Can anyone confirm, these displays are for 2015-2018 ar240 models, correct? Or just to 2017?

On the ar240, 2015 is different. 16, 17 , 18 same. Just verified part numbers
212 models are different as well. Looks like they varied throughout the lineup not sure why
242 limited follow same part numbers as the ar240.... 242 e series and x e series are different numbers than the ar240 and limited.

Interesting. Thanks for looking it up. I am hoping that internally, the LCD and touch screens are the same from 2015-2018 and they just changed the part number for the software. I will need to open them up to verify, that would make the repairs so much simpler. I see that in 2019, the Connext 7 inch evolved to be from a different manufacturer which has its own set of problems....

I am interested in the 2017 screen. I sent you a message if you are interested in selling
I believe his is from a 212x which isn't the same for a 240. Its been verified the part numbers are different.
