Bad Day at the Ramp,,,for this guy at least.

When I was a kid I used to hang out at a wooden launch ramp for thrills. Smooth wooden ramp combined with some algae put at least one 2WDR vehicle into the lake every week. Cam.

YIKES

Guess those tie down straps really do work!

Looks like another episode of someone not taking the time to educate themselves before buying a boat. Also, this guys just seems plain stupid. Wy the hell wouldn't you get out of your truck the moment it starts sinking???

That sucks...but gotta love that he had the wipers on.

So you can use your MIND POWERS to will it back to the ramp you see........ Geeezzzzzz :facepalm::facepalm:

The good news is that he had his windshield wipers going so he could maintain clear vision!

Wow... Well, at least his boat is OK! That was the first thing I thought of...

Be careful out there people!

One more reason 2WD sucks.

My first notice!! Wipers on!! Whats happening???
I wonder if his checklist was something like:
  1. Finish the work
  2. Drink case of beer
  3. Forget to follow pre launch checklist
  4. Sink your truck
  5. Drink more beer

I ALWAYS put my truck in 4WD Auto or 4WD before launching. Our section of the Potomac River is tidal, so low tide means algae and slippery ramps.

@Tollus where are you at on the Potomac?

Ya just can't cure stupid!

Here's your sign. .......

My first notice!! Wipers on!! Whats happening???

I believe he turned on the wipers in an effort to create a tidal vortex that would get him back to the ramp and possibly push him out.
