If you have a switch and already have dual batteries Norboo, I am missing what you were wanting to do....I must have misunderstood, I would just go with what you have. No need to reinvent the wheel unless it won't get you to where your trying to go. Sounds like you only need a decent shore charger.
That's my video... thanks!Marine Boat Battery Chargers : Which Type Do You Need?
Yes, if you set the ACR on the battery side of the switch, then the ACR allows engine charge to go from the start battery side to the ACR, it senses an appropriate charge, and lets the current pass to the house battery. If however, you wire the ACR on the load side of the switch, it will not close and allow current to pass to the house side bank. Guys that have very different battery banks set theirs up this way. Guys that have similar battery banks will use the ACR on the battery side. You can wire the ACR directly between the batteries like the Blue Sea diagram, or you can hook it between the Battery side posts on the switch...it is the same in either place. I can add a few diagrams if you like...So does the Blue sea add a battery kit not charge the house battery while the engine is running ??
So I think I did it right per your wright up. On the acr terminal A went to the start battery and terminal B went to the house battery. Am I correct? Did you connect the ACR terminals A and B go directly to the batteries, or did they go to the BlueSea master battery switch? It works both ways, but there is a difference. So I think I did it right per your wright up. On the acr terminal A went to the start battery and terminal B went to the house battery. Am I correct?
