i tied up with some friends this Sunday and I was the default stereo for the group. Also had 3 teens sucking power charging cell phones. When it was time to leave the engines started really hard. Actually the second started with low voltage alarm which makes the engine run rough as hell. I knew this was a problem so I just shut it down and idled on 1 engine for 5-10 minutes then started second. So this got me thinking. I may need to replace one of the 2 batteries. But sitting here now I am thinking my battery selector switch is set to 1. I bet if I set it to 1&2 it would have started fine.

Where does everyone else set their switches while underway?

I have a VSR. But that just switches between batt 1 or batt 2 to charge when engine is running

Always keep your start battery isolated. If the start battery is low you THEN combine them for starting purposes. Never compromise your start battery unless you also carry a jump pack.
