2009 AR230 removed them decals and looks so clean except there is some ghosting. Looking for product that’s been tested and works well.

I like the 3m marine products.

their cleaner and wax is great for touching things up. They also have restorer wax which might be good for your ghosting.

many people will use Shurehold Buff Magic on those decal areas and then follow up with a polish.
At least that is what I have done and it work great.

The direction you take depends on how bad the oxidation is on the hull. I removed some heavy oxidation in 2017 by wetsanding the hull first and then using a Marine 31 heavy cut oxidation remover, polish and then wax. At the time I had only a porter cable D/A polisher and no rotary polisher with a wool pad.

The final result then.

I touched it up again a few weeks ago prior to selling the boat with McGuire's Products. I used the Ultimate compound with a rotary polisher w/ wool pad and then applied wax with a D/A and rub off with a cloth.

Last year, we chose Star Brite to use on our 2014 Brunswick 28" Challenger Fire/Rescue Boat. Our boat remains in the water for up to 9 months a year, in extremely harsh conditions. I like how it provides a maximum protective layer for my boat exteriors against harmful sun rays.

Do you have any pictures of your Boston Whaler? What motors are on the transom?
