I didn't want to do this this soon and I really wanted to find a good shipping cover for my SX190. However, my old shipping cover is starting to tear so I have to do something to keep the rain out. Can anyone tell me what is the best boat cover for the SX190 that is waterproof, wont scratch, heavy duty, trailerable and wont break the bank to purchase? (Damn things are way too expensive for what they are)

I got my OEM Mooring cover on Amazon from PWC Parts (cheapest place I could find) @ 550 shipped (prime). IMHO you get what you pay for! If you don't have a tower you could probably get some Sunbrella material non Yamaha specific fit alternative.

From what I've seen over the years, the shipping covers don't hold up very well for very long as they are primarily designed to protect the boat from the factory to dealer.

For longer term use, I'd go with the OEM cover. The best price is Yamaha Sports Plaza up in Oregon. I had one on my 232 that sat outside in the sun for 5+ summers and was still holding together well. Some of the seams were getting a little sun-faded and I ordered another going into season 4...just to have it when towing. But that old original one was still going strong!
