Rookie question. I'm running an AR210, 2009 and the bilge is either on or off. The prior owner advised, if it's in the water, keep it on. So, do I keep it running even if I'm anchored, engines off?

In advance, thank you.

If your only option is on or off, I would leave it off and put it on once in while, particularly if you're anchored with people swimming etc.

If I were you though, I'd replace the pump with an automatic one which comes on whenever there's water in the bilge.
