@Ronnie What led you to choose this Brand/model speaker? I am thinking of doing similar to get sound on the swim platform of my SX240. I wouldn’t see the ROI of adding speakers out there and like not being concerned about the boat battery (although I do have 2 and a switch). I was looking at the Fusion Bluetooth speaker while looking at new head units.

Installed a Bluetooth speaker on my second waverunner.

I’ve seen, held and heard a lot of blue tooth speakers that my 17 year old sons friends own. I like this line from altec Lansing because it sounds clear even when the volume is high, it has a standard threaded mount on the bottom, is very water resistant/ submersible and floats. It also does not hurt that I got it on sale half off.

There are a lot of alternatives available. For example , the square ecox speakers in the attached pic are about $60 each and are linkable. See the price of the Kit developed for Yamaha in the same pic.

Thanks for the info Ronnie. I assume yours is one of the Super Lifejacket models? If only the manufacturer would make it easy to understand the difference between all of them. Finding it at half price is my kind of buying criteria! I should just go “analog” and buy whatever one is sitting on the shelf at Best Buy. :p

You are welcome @TimW451 . I had to look at Best Buy’s and alter Lansing sites to figure out what to buy. The current deal is the 888 model seen in the attached screen shot it’s not 50% off, only 40% but it’s still a good deal. When in doubt go with the model number, I got two 790s if I had seen this deal a few minutes earlier I would have one 790 and one 888.

I agree I think that is the one to get. (Apparently on sale too!) There is another for $109 (789) that appears to be slightly better, but I think is actually the same. Best Buy has one for $199 (889) that sounds similar to the $109 one, so it isn’t any better than this one. Thanks again!

It floats! Sounds real good too. Speakers are on both sides, so I can get 360 degrees of sound. I thought I took a pic of it on thr boat, but I guess not.
