Boat dock questions.

The fasteners are great. Keeps the dock so much cleaner looking. Yes you can get plugs that will fill the screw hole, but I have seen them pop or not sit right, and in my opinion they now look worse. That being said, our dock has had some movement with either the framing or the boards, and because they are not screwed in, there are some larger gaps that have formed. There is no perfect system.

Something else for me to be pissed about. ?

Ready for a twist!
This brand new pier may be headed for the land field.
This debacle cost north of $145,000 GRAND.
The builder hasn't had a builder's license since 1978.
His license was pulled for building a pier without a permit.
No county permit was pulled. EVER .
The part built before Sally never had a permit either
No FDEP permit was pulled.
No environmental study was done.
The hoa board president is absolute dick, and is passing the buck because this project started under the last board.
The project manager/ hoa general manager is blaming the contractor.
People started asking questions when they seen how jankie it is. The general manager told us we didn't next a permit because it was replacing an existing structure.
Part of it was destroyed in sally, but like 100 feet going into the Sound is new, so this did not made sense and people called codes to verify she was wrong, and she was.
The contractors llc expired last year.
Some people are saying the contractor can't be sued because the he has some kind of llc protection even thou the llc has expired.
I would think if he personally got a check after the llc expired he would be on the hook. But that's just me ?.
I was trying find out what kind of composite decking was used. Some brands have void the warrent if it's surface screwed. If it doesn't get torn out I guess I look back into it.
