47mph with the sail of bimini in choppy weather - yeah some of you guys got all worried for no reason. Bet with no bimini it does 50+
 
I don't think anyone was worried. The initial test results were lack luster. Until people actual get them though and use them in actual scenario's it is prudent to temper expectations.
 
Looks like they are ready to lose the engine cover bolts. No worries, the new owner will find them in the bilge later on. :)

Must be a common thing, happens on all 3 of my 1.8s.
 
Also by looking at the results they posted, they show 7700 RPM's, I am sure that if they let them rev up to 8000 RPM's under load you could hit the low 50's, realistically 7500 RPM's is a good baseline for real world use at sea level. Some will hit 7700 some will only hit 7400. +- 500 is the RPM margin of acceptability indicated by Yamaha.
