Both Engines Limited to 9,000 RPM, WHY?

I have the non HO engines and they top out at 10200
We both saw an increase in RPMs after changing impeller bearings. My port engine was running 10,400 last weekend from I believe a previous max of 10,200.

I wonder if changing impeller bearings would bump him a little.

Yes, I saw a dramatic increase in RPM and the boat got way more quiet.
