Have you done anything to fix it yet? I called the dealer and they basically said it just happens. I wasn't really satisfied with their answer and am thinking of taking it in and fixing it under warranty. Or, removing it, cleaning it out, and trying to seal it against further rust.Yes it's happening to mine too. I hate the way the run off looks on the boat
Thanks!Same problem on mine. Its not a fix, but a Mr. Clean Magic eraser takes the rust marks off very easily.
Wonderful. Getting out Mr. Clean.Looks exactly like my eye too
I would think the part most and first exposed to water, any water, would resist rust. I'm thinking of bringing it in or unscrewing it myself. So far, my solutions have been better than theirs!I took mine in under warranty. They tried to say it happens in salt water. I said not with ten hours on a brand new boat. They are going to replace under warranty hopefully.
It would seem so. I'm thinking of taking it in or looking at it myself.Backing plate is garbage material. Hard to replace, above was fixed correctly it seems.
