Any thoughts on why my bow navigation light wouldn't work? My aft/white and guage lights work great... Replaced with beautiful LED and still nothing.

Courtesy (throttle and co-pilot) lights also no joy, I originally wrote those off to bulbs that I am now rethinking. I'm looking for my voltage meter to see if bow receives juice. Wires seem to come straight back past the wiring harnesses and then wrapped up into them, maybe me rewire job crossed something? I've turned on all switches and nothing.

Check the fuses. One may have popped but the stern light should be on the same breaker as the bow navs.

Multi meter is your best tool here. Trace the power back to the breaker and switch.

Did this light issue arise after you installed led lights?

1) I'm such a novice that I'm not sure how to check the fuse.... I could have inadvertently ran the bow light to the conveiniet switch, could explain why the stern works and the bow doesn't. 2) I replaced the light because I thought it not working was being caused by a bad light. Me replacing it disapproved that.

Forgive me if this is offensive - just imagine I'm one of those help desk guys that asks dumb questions when fixing your software. Here goes:

The bow light and stern light are on a switch that rocks both directions. In one position, the stern light is on by itself. In the other position both are on. Have you tried both positions?

LED lights are polarity sensitive. Did you try swapping the power and ground to your bow light and see if that gives the joy?

It's funny you mention that @David D, when I purchased my boat last year I noticed my switch was wired backwards of the labeling.

And even though I tried both directions @David D , you just confirmed that my wiring isn't 100%. Down turns my stern light on and up turns my stern and guage lights on.... Here's to pulling the switches and watching @Murf'n'surf wiring video again.

For what it's worth, the gauges should come on with the nav lights, so up in your case.

Help me out guys, how do I check the fuses? Are they directly beneath the switches?

Yes @atompa. There is a rubber covered circuit breaker below each switch. Just push it in if it has popped. If it pops again you have a short that needs to be corrected.
