So I haven't used the boat in 3 years, I know sad, moved the first year and just too busy, 2nd year broken back. Anywho, climbed in the boat this year after new tires installed, 2 new batteries and both engines fired right up, love yamaha engines. Port throttle will not budge, starboard is fine. I decided to do the repair myself and ordered 2 new cables Seastar Xtreme control cables 18' through Amazon. Well 2 hours into the project I through in the towel. At my age I always think whats my time and aggravation worth so I drive to the local dealer I bought the boat from 15 minutes away. He said they if they used my cables they would charge $400 to do both cables. SOLD!! Also having them do the steering cables although thats a lot more money but its been getting very stiff. Just thought I'd post this info and the link to the cables as that took some digging if more patient younger people what to do the repair.. Boat is 2015 AR240.
