I’m trying to help out a friend of mine who just bought a 2021 255 Yamaha. He bought it from a dealer in Maine, which is too far for him to feasibly spend money to haul the boat back-and-forth that far for service in the spring and fall. Does anybody live within the East central region of Massachusetts that knows of any independent jet boat repair guys that he could use for winterization and spring commissioning? I’m not much help since I live in Southern Rhode Island and I don’t know any of the repair services in that area. Thanks in advance

Doesn't Twin City Marine in Central Falls service Yamaha jet boats? Not too far maybe 1 hour drive depending on where he is

Yes, they do. However, I’ve had multiple bad experiences with them, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. Just real crummy customer service. On more than one occasion… From more than one person.

I left RI almost 9 years ago. And except for buying parts there never had much interaction with them. Know lots of shops in southern Massachusetts but they all stopped working on boats and skis. Dont know why, thats where i make 75% of my money

Curious what your experiences were and if you'd be willing to share. I live in north-central MA and twin city is my closest dealer (still an hour and a half, but closest) and assumed I'd be taking it there for any warranty work.

I've looked around where I am and haven't found any independents either, I do know of a new other Yamahas on the lake though and I'm hoping someone has a suggestion.
