Check your trailer license plates......

Just got this in the mail. Had to go check the boat to see if the license plate was really missing. I would've bet money it was on there just fine.



Guessing I lost the stainless nuts/bolts I had on there as well

I use nylock nuts that wont back out

Luckily here in Minnesota we have permanent tabs in the form of a tongue sticker for most trailers.

I had nylocks on there as well. Just checked the trailer.....whole plastic bracket is missing!

I blame the cheap Home Depot lights I put on a month ago.

I'll be making a stainless bracket at work next week once I get the plate back to measure

That was nice of them to reach out and let you know they had the plate. Would’ve been easy to just toss it in the trash.

This is why my plastic bracket was removed, used as a template on a piece of stainless I had laying around, then promptly discarded in the recycle bin.

Found my plates on the ramp one day. That is when I figured out that it is important for there to be an amount of flex for my application. So I mounted the plates to a sheet of rubber allowing it to move as I back in and pull out of the water.
That is pretty cool that a government agency would show some concern.

I really like this idea. This might be the solution right here.
