Cobra viper AK-19 on 2021 195s

Got them finally installed. Took awhile but Jeff from Cobra was great and went above and beyond with his feedback and suggestions. Tomorrow taking her out and will report back what the improvements are.

Thank you, I have decided on this new setup with the ride plate being so close to the bolt , rather than fool with a hex bolt I am going to use an 8mm allan cap bolt and that should make it so much easier to access the bottom bolt I have one in a package to send you on Tuesday when the post office opens.

You end up having to take the ride plate off?

Actually no, but it was not easy to get the bolt past the end of that ride plate, remove the bottom bolt, tilt bottom of the nozzle out, load the parts in the viper and nozzle then place the viper and nozzle back on line with the bottom hole and damn the bolt won't turn !!! So I had him grind each corner of the bolt head to reduce it's size enough to clear the end of the plate so now using allan cap bolts is the obvious answer.
The other option would be to loosen the 4 bolts holding the pump cone to the pump just enough to be able to pull it back 1/2 inch , install the parts and re-tighten the bolts, but I like the allan cap better.

That was exactly my experience - allen cap would have been perfect!

Can’t wait to take her on the water but it has been cloudy with storms on and off since yesterday and will not go on Monday since everybody will be on the water. Might have to wait until next weekend.

That’s the setup I’ll be going with. Great to always hear great customer service on Jeff’s part. Do we get a discount for being members here?

I added this setup to my boat and the added planing surface made a world of difference in rough water and chop. One of the best additions so far.
