I encorperated blue and white strips... I have 2 blue and the bow and 2 at the stern and added two strips of white in the center on port and starbord side. I think it give is a nice mix BAE4833F-C6A1-4296-9B74-46F88DC88BCE_1_105_c.jpeg

flyingnugget, what’s up buddy I have a pair of those blue LED lights if you want send me a pm and I can ship them to you at no cost. The reason I’m give them away because I’m have clear LED lights installed tomorrow throughout the inside of my 240. The lights are brand new never used. Let me know.

@CAM212SS ..... love the lights and the smart spray foam insulation - impossible to beat in most applications! :cool:

@CAM212SS

What strips did you use?

I'm leary that the adhesive wont last. I'm about to start a big sereo upgrade an the strips would be a good time to add

thanks... you are right about the insulation. My father and I built this garage for my first yamaha which was a 2011 sx210. never gets below 40 degrees in the coldest of temperatures.

I tried doing a search but not seeing it right now.. I picked them up at Bass Pro Shop. They had a ton of them in a bin in the isle. It was just under $50 i believe for the set... a little expensive i think but i liked the color and they were waterproof. I think they will last fine hopefully. the key is to clean the area you are attaching them to for good adhesion

I plan to replace the stock lights with red 12" strips under the various stock locations and tap into the stock wiring. The wife loves red and black, so the black boat with red lights works for her.
:)
Don't think the adhesive will be an issue. But if it is, I have silicone or mild marine adhesive which will do the trick.

ok, replaced the courtesy lights in the cockpit no problem (I'll have pix when the whole stereo upgrade is finished) But, I was wondering if anyone has replaced the white courtesy lights on their tower with an other light? My 242LS has 5 white courtesy/tower lights that are about 1' with the rubber grommet and probably 3/4" lights. Going to replace them with Blue LED's and was wondering if any anyone else has already dont it?

Thinking these may work:

Just curious if those worked out for you? I have a couple of the LEDs in the tower that need replacing and those seem like a good bet and WAY cheaper than the $43 OEM.
