Considering a Jet Boat as Second Boat

So only use the steering wheel in reverse to steer and not the shifters/throttles as I would on my big boat? I use my shifters for 90% of my slow steering maneuvers on my big boat.

Oh no you need to use the throttles with a light touch. There's no transmission in these boats because it's direct drive. Going into reverse is simply the nozzle buckets moving down a little to deflect the spray down and forward to give you reverse thrust.

Why burn excess money a a new one, when these things are maintenance free and run forever? Take a trip to FL and buy Will's! Great price; you know it was cared for; and look at all the extras!

You could have it shipped for much less than you’d think, and I couldn’t think of a better person to buy a boat from, as Will is pretty much THE jetboat guy (he owns Jetboat Pilot).

Thank you for making me aware, but I have no issue paying a premium to get exactly the boat I want. Obviously my personal preference, but I have no interest in a two year old saltwater boat with lime green accents to save a few grand. I also am not focused on the watersports aspect which this boat is more tailored to.

You're going to want to have a battery tender/charger of some form. I'd recommend a second battery and a bilge pump with a float switch if you plan to leave it in the water for long periods of time. I'd recommend a lift to keep the bottom and pumps as clean as possible too. No bottom paint!

Can anyone recommend battery tenders based on their experience? I started to look and there are several different models. I'd just like to be sure I'm looking at what is best suited for this boat.

I cannot recommend battery tenders but there are good battery chargers with selectable charge profiles based on battery type. I use this one
Promariner Prosport 20 Plus Gen 3 Heavy Duty Recreational Series On-Board Marine Battery Charger - 20 Amp - 3 Bank on the Beneteau where I have 3 batteries. Easy/clean install and the 20a output recharges depleted deepcells quickly. On the Yamaha I installed a Add-A-Battery Kit - 120A - Blue Sea Systems but if I were to do it again I would most likely install a Pro Mariner Gen2 ProSport Charger, 12 Amp, 2 Bank - Walmart.com only because you do not have to buy/make up battery cables.
Others have said good things about the NOCO - Genius but I have no personal experience with this one and will let others chime in.
