From @Bruce posted picture I am the one in the burgundy boat, my crew and I were trying to decide if we could fit between the potoons and under the deck, the water mist would have been refreshing. Bruce's picture doesn't show it but there were probably 6 to 10 police/military boats around the USS Spearhead, so we decided against the attempt.

We noticed him too. Also, we talked to one of the patrol boats while we were waiting on the Spearhead to dock, they were very friendly but they were also packing a lot of heat.

I also thought about driving through the opening underneath. But the kids were very much opposed. And I am certain that if we got too close the guys with machine guns at each corner would have become less friendly!

What is the purpose of the mist in the rear? I was thinking it catches diesel soot so it doesn't coat the rear?

That would be awesome, I'll ask them when I give them the sticker, Not sure they could fly it but maybe they would stick it in the ward room.

LOL..I was going to suggest throwing them a football. Really neat pictures, what a cool thing to see up close and personal.

Yeah here I thought this was a common ship of some sort, cool, but common. Turns out that's the only one in service at the moment and 1 of 10 to be commissioned. Who knew! Irony!
