A tech from the local yamaha dealership from which we bought a 2020 AR240 came to our boat lift for the 10 hour service. I'm assuming it consisted of an oil change a few other checkups. After this I went out for a few hours and returned without noticing any problems. Once docked I opened the engine compartment and noticed a thin layer of oily film over the starboard engine. I looked around and noticed the oil cap was missing. It was no where to be found in the engine bay. I can only assume the tech forgot to install it after the oil change. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It is kind of upsetting considering they are supposed to be professionals. Can any longterm damage come from this? Port and Starboard engine pictures are attached.
