Has anyone used the Dock Disk (https://www.thedockdisk.com/) at their slip to keep Zebra Mussels away? Does it work? Is there risk of galvanic corrosion? (I believe it releases copper in order to keep the zebra mussels away). I haven’t used it yet - but just looking for advice on its effectiveness and if it’ll harm my boat. Any help you can provide would be amazing - thank you!

How did you know that it releases copper to keep the mussel away, the site did not explain how it works along with the youtube video. website content have like a snake oil salesman vibe lol.

good question. I found it here: https://www.dailytrib.com/2020/05/20/marble-falls-experiments-with-zebra-mussel-repellents/

This paragraph in the article: At the Lakeside Park beach, the city plans to install Dock Disks along the concrete wall and buoys to discourage mussels from taking hold there. Dock Disks are a brand of 7½-inch foam disks that emit a 7- to 8-foot radius of zebra mussel repellent, which is copper-based. The repellent isn’t harmful to people or fish as used at this level.
