Drain plug failure

Not a huge issue because it happened while winterizing, but the drain plug was seized, and the fitting ripped out while trying to remove it. Going to fill the holes with marine tex , and rotate at install so the screws have new holes. Any recommendations on a source for better drain plug? Will be applying a generous coating of anti seize compound at every in and out from now on.

Yes, but only because I high and dry it, and they don't always get it pulled out before I leave. It would be nice to have some sort of bilge pump down there, but I guess there isn't any room. I wonder if I could find a way to pass a hose into that space, put a check valve on it, and hook a manual bilge pump to it.

I installed a second bilge pump in the actual bilge. But in my experience it still leaves some water behind to be emptied through the drain plug https://jetboaters.net/threads/installing-second-bilge-pump-in-yamaha-sx230.1889

Yamaha used the plastic drain plugs on the 21'ers of the same vintage. The nice thing is that it's the same housing & plug as all of the storage and engine compartment ones. It's kind of like having a half a dozen spares on hand, that won't corrode and get stuck.
