This is my second set of Typhoon lights. The first set got fried from apparently being left on somehow, although we turn our battery switch off before pulling the boat/trailer out of the water and they are wired to navigation lights. Our second set we bought their over ride switch and the mounts for them so they didn’t have to dangle when not screwed it. We LOVE the mounts! However the wiring sheathing started splitting near the plug. I inquired about it because it was getting close to my year warranty. We didn’t get a positive response back from the manufacturer . Now yesterday the wire completely broke off at the plug. Our first set never had one issue with the wiring degrading. I’m kind of disappointed in the customer service. Does anyone have another brand they use?

SUPER HIGH OUT PUT WHITE Garboard Drain Plug Light. These will not fit plastic drains or drains that take rubber plugs. This Light is made out of a thick, rugged brass 1/2" NPT plug that can be backed out to drain your boat with ease.
I just wired a pair of these a few weeks ago. Rather than having them piggyback directly on another light, i wired them to a relay, with their own fuse. I was just worried about too much current going through the switch (probably unfounded). The relay is energized by the same circuit that powers the radio head unit, via a switch. This way, when the ignition is off, the light is off.
If you're talking about Diablo Royale Customs at Boatpluglight.com, my experience as been pretty positive. He pretty much responded to my questions prior to my ourchase via email immediately. After I recieved a faulty driver, a replacement was sent out the same day that I contactes him.

On my 2019 I am currently wiring into my OEM Connext system on the aux input. That way I can control with touch screen or analog button. I will also be able to dim if necessary.

I know nothing about the connext screen but just keep in mind that LEDs usually need special dimmers to work correctly. You can't just lower the current to the light like you can with an incandescent bulb. It's my understanding that LED dimmers usually strobe the light, faster than the eye can see, to lower the output. All that to say is just make sure what you are connecting them to are designed for that purpose.
