Has anyone replaced the plastic female drain plug on your boat with a metal one?
My plastic threads wear easily and I'd really like to upgrade to metal
 
I have, some one on the site sell an insert for a "drain plug light". You could just use a universal drain plug instead. I used 4200 to make it a more "permanent" solution.
 
I replaced my drains with this:

But the replacement plug is plastic. I replaced them late last summer so I have no idea how durable they are.

It wasn't very difficult so you could probably easily replace it with something like this:
