Not sure if any other FSH owners got this email, but I just received it this morning from Yamaha...asking me to complete a survey about the FSH.

The survey was over 100 questions long...I took the time to answer each question and was BRUTALLY honest in my response. Did my best to stick to the facts and leave emotion out of it...I'm curious if they will actually read it.

I'm sure they will, Yamaha is serious about customer feedback and improving things.

what exactly did you need to be brutally honest about? I'm looking at buying the FSH and curious what your negative feedback may have been?

It did not fit my needs. I think it was marketed as something it is not. There is a lot of info on this board in regards to positives and negatives.

My experiences with the FSH are not necessarily the experience of others.

Yamaha asked my opinions and I told them exactly how I felt...I'm positive others feel differently.

thanks for the speedy reply - i'm already seeing the dozens of posts you're referencing.

They never sent me one its been 3 months since I complained about the water in the changing area and rear compartments. I am one of those who is on the fence about my boat as well but it meets my current needs just hoped this boat would be something I kept for another 10 years. My bass boat served me well for 10 years and I am missing the fuel economy of the Optimax motor I had. With the Yamaha center console boats being new to the market I would have thought Yamaha would be collecting every bit of information from the owners they could but I have not had them directly me contact me except emails to sell me more product. Boat did not come with a spare tire either!!!

Please check out all my posts around 20 or so they have a lot of the mods or document my experience, brass drain plugs and a 2nd automatic bilge have given me a lot more sleep at night while my boat sits in a slip about 2 hours away.

Its not all bad I do love not having a motor, the boat rides well in rough water, my wife loves it, and I can still do all the fishing I did before and now can use my boat in the ocean. The option for the aluminum trailer is great, I love mine. The boarding ladder and swim deck have been great this summer for floating out on the lake. This boat also allows us more room for company but still provides me with a great fishing boat.

Would love to see these boats get better fuel economy I hardly run mine faster than 7000rpm burning 7 gallons per hour, wide open this boat drinks 13 gallons per hour. A bigger gas tank would be nice with the poor fuel economy so I would not have to pull my boat to fill it up so often. A compartment that has true dry storage, locks that actually lock (a flat head screwdriver or tip of any key will unlock the locks on the boat), a light on dash notifying me the clean out plug is in or out. More power in the wash down nozzle and better deck drainage for cleaning the boat, currently modded a garden hose to open the check valves so the boat will drain faster.
